Hope is Good. Keep Hoping.

Do you find yourself not looking forward to things because you don’t want to get disappointed? What if that is working against you?

What seems to happen when we don’t have expectations or something to draw us forward is we retreat. We get complacent and then we wake up one day and wonder why things aren’t happening for us. As I was reading this morning I was reminded of something Joyce Meyer says. Hope is what stabilizes your frantic thoughts and emotions. It is an awareness that there is no problem big enough to keep God from rescuing you.

If you have had the same dream rolling around for awhile or if you are in a situation you don’t think could ever change and you are now tempted to give up hoping I encourage you don’t give up the fight. I believe as well that God is sometimes holding out to see how bad you want that thing you say you want. Are you willing to keep hoping when it doesn’t look like things are changing, are you willing to ask that one more time for someone’s help. There was once a writer who gave up hope. Fortunately his wife didn’t because she dug that manuscript out of the garbage in hopes that this time would be THE one and thankful for the entertainment industry she kept hope alive and many of us have read or watched a Stephen King novel come to life.

Hope According to Joyce Meyer

“Hope is what stabilizes your frantic thoughts and emotions—it’s an awareness that there is no problem big enough to keep God from rescuing you.”

Hope According to Joyce Meyer

“'I’m really proud to say that even in my worst moments, I've always had the good sense to know that however bad things were, they wouldn't remain so. Everything passes if you learn to hold things lightly.”
