Do you know what kinds of eggs you like?
Strange question? Perhaps..... but if you have ever seen the movie Runaway Bride with Julia Roberts you may know why I am asking. Her character was lost. She thought she knew who she was but she didn’t. She ended up molding herself into whoever she was dating (or about to marry) at the time. She had no idea what she really liked, who she really was. She liked the activities each of her boyfriends liked and ended up eating whatever kind of eggs they liked.
But do not despair – if you don’t know what kind of eggs you like – there is hope. I was once like that. In my early 20’s I had really no idea what I really liked. I enjoyed activities that those around me liked, I ended up doing things to make other people happy. And I did that so long I didn’t even know who I really was. It wasn’t that this was a horrible thing but at some point I went on a journey. I went on a quest. I needed to get to know my adult self and define who I was going to be.

I set out on that journey. I found out a lot working on myself through a variety of personal development routes and programs. But the real epiphany came when I began to employ work to unlock and release the emotional baggage locked in my unconscious mind. As I released more and more junk from my unconscious mind I was able to really see with clarity the person I was created to be. I would love to say that there was no more comparison – wishing I had the fun-loving personality of one of my friends, or the influencers I see on social media but that would be a lie. I am getting close though. I recognize the trappings much quicker and am able to make adjustments.
One of my mentors Emanuel Zevallos, one of the leading Body Code Healers in the world, stated recently that he feels like there is no way to truly know who you can be without removing the emotional baggage from the unconscious and I completely agree. I encourage you – if you are indecisive, find yourself mainly doing what others want you to do or waiting for others to lead you – then I encourage you to find a resource to assist in getting rid of that emotional baggage so you can truly SHINE as the unique creation YOU were made to be.
